The planning application for the proposed new multi million-pound Deal Leisure Centre has been approved.
The project will include a six-lane pool, gym, health & fitness studios, pool inflatable fun sessions and a toddler splash pad. The competitive tendering process for a future operator is in progress to take on long-term operations from 1 April 2026 for dryside facilities, and summer 2027 for full opening.
Your Leisure is currently the interim operator allowing Tides Sports Hall, Indoor Tennis Centre and gym to remain open while work progresses on the new development. The demolition of the Tides Leisure Centre pool building is scheduled to go ahead later in the autumn.
